Ronald James Padavona (Ronnie James Dio) died Sunday May, 16 2010 due to serious condition of Stomach cancer. R.I.P. Dio ! He performed with Elf, Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Heaven & Hell, and his own band Dio. Message from Wendy Dio (Dio's wife): Today my heart is broken, Ronnie passed away at 7:45am 16th May. Many, many friends and family were able to say their private good-byes before he peacefully passed away. Ronnie knew how much he was loved by all. We so appreciate the love and support that you have all given us. Please give us a few days of privacy to deal with this terrible loss. Rainbow were an english rock band formed in 1975 by ex-Deep Purple guitarist Ritchie Blackmore. The band was first active between 1975 and 1984 and then again between 1993 and 1997. Including the original 5 members, Rainbow had a total of 24 members which recorded 8 studio albums, 5 live albums and 8 compilation albums. |
